LO2 Planning for production

.I would have learnt how to use the Zoom H6 Handy recorder.

.Go in an empty room or the sound proof room to record some vocals 

.Record some vocals using the H6 and placing them into Adobe Audition with the beat

.using the plug-ins and effects audition offer me such as: a parametric, compressor, reverb and pitch creator to make my vocals crisp and clean and fit with the beat

.allow the feature (who is now Ellis) to write some lyrics and then let him record them into the H6 as-well

.Practise recording my song until I have a perfect audio clip that I can use

.Send the vocals to my email so that I can also play with them at home on FL Studio

.Add specific sound effects and vocal effects to certain parts of my voice (I can do this via automation, I know how to do them on FL but not Adobe Audition yet)

.Once I have finished my vocals and vocal editing I need to edit the beat and take it out at parts to make a beat drop at parts during the song.

UNIT 3 Evaluation (LO3 Be able to create production materials for an original media product to a client brief)

Above me is a video that I made talking about all the equipment I use to make music. It also goes into detail about how I use this equipment and the specifics of the song Dojo. Figuring out how to use these was challenging but familiar as they are similar to the ones that are on FL.  While I was writing the song (DOJO) I was constantly thinking about the codes and conventions of Hip-Hop music. While also thinking of ways to subvert these conventions and add themes and lyrics that are not normally featured in these songs. For example: My product can be analysed against the voyeurism and male gaze theory of representation by Laura Mulvey (1975). This is because lyrics that link to the male gaze theory are constantly repeated as to offer a familiarity for the audience (Steve Neale's, repetition and difference theory wrote in 1995) is also used to make the song similar to other products by using subject matter and language that the target audience already know.
