LO2 Production schedule W/C 15th March to the 21st March

 


This is my production schedule for this week. As you can see it focuses a lot on learning how to use adobe audition and how to use the effects that the app lends you. This is because when creating the final version of my song I need to make my vocals clean crisp while also fitting into the beat. Here is an example of a song I have released in which I used similar effects and plugins, but on a different app (FL). I do have to warn this has explicit language in it. 


I am going to put £ & Power here. 


I will also need to use how to use the zoom mic properly, however I already know how to transfer audio files from the mic to audition so I do not think I will have much trouble with working it out. I will mainly just need to practise using it and getting used to the system as its very different from equipment I've used before.

Above me is a video that I made talking about all the equipment I use to make music. It also goes into detail about how I use this equipment and the specifics of the song Dojo. Figuring out how to use these was challenging but familiar as they are similar to the ones that are on FL.  While I was writing the song (DOJO) I was constantly thinking about the codes and conventions of Hip-Hop music. While also thinking of ways to subvert these conventions and add themes and lyrics that are not normally featured in these songs. For example: My product can be analysed against the voyeurism and male gaze theory of representation by Laura Mulvey (1975). This is because lyrics that link to the male gaze theory are constantly repeated as to offer a familiarity for the audience (Steve Neale's, repetition and difference theory wrote in 1995) is also used to make the song similar to other products by using subject matter and language that the target audience already know.
