Unit 3 create a media product

.I would have learnt how to use the Zoom H6 Handy recorder. .Go in an empty room or the sound proof room to record some vocals  .Record some vocals using the H6 and placing them into Adobe Audition with the beat .using the plug-ins and effects audition offer me such as: a parametric, compressor, reverb and pitch creator to make my vocals crisp and clean and fit with the beat .allow the feature (who is now Ellis) to write some lyrics and then let him record them into the H6 as-well .Practise recording my song until I have a perfect audio clip that I can use .Send the vocals to my email so that I can also play with them at home on FL Studio .Add specific sound effects and vocal effects to certain parts of my voice ( I can do this via automation, I know how to do them on FL but not Adobe Audition yet) .Once I have finished my vocals and vocal editing I need to edit the beat and take it out at parts to make a beat drop at parts during the song. 

  This is my production schedule for this week. As you can see it focuses a lot on learning how to use adobe audition and how to use the effects that the app lends you. This is because when creating the final version of my song I need to make my vocals clean crisp while also fitting into the beat. Here is an example of a song I have released in which I used similar effects and plugins, but on a different app (FL). I do have to warn this has explicit language in it.  I am going to put £ & Power here.  I will also need to use how to use the zoom mic properly, however I already know how to transfer audio files from the mic to audition so I do not think I will have much trouble with working it out. I will mainly just need to practise using it and getting used to the system as its very different from equipment I've used before.  Here is the equipment that I'm used to using at home Here is the Zoom Handy Recorder

 

  This is what my attempt at editing my beat and adding sound effects into the song looks like. The top track layer is the beat that I added into the software, after doing this I then went to https://freesound.org/home/ to look for sound effects that I could incorporate into the song. So after a while I decide to use a telephone sound plus a sound of a unanswered call as one of my lines is "found out that girl she was calling had to press end that got boring" I also added a small audio clip at the end of some one hanging up on someone else to again highlight that vocal. However after adding them I noticed some clipping so I had to fix that by chopping the beat out using the cutting tool.  After doing this I then added some risers and clashes to give them sections more emphasis, altogehter it created a drop in the beat that made it more hype and funny. This is also the case with the mini audio clip at the end as it feels like it ends the song and would be a good transition...

 

  In this video it shows us how to set up our handy recorder to our pc/Mac and it also shows us how we connect that to our software daw such as logic or garage band. I will just need to download them off of either the internet or off the App Store; Then I will be able to test it out. I could also hook up other microphones to this device and use the handy recorder as a mini audio interface that connects the mic to the Mac, We could even have 4 microphones going into this. If not there are two mics on the device that we can also use, I have already recorded two clips on the device but have yet to hear them, the clips are just short conversations with friends.  This video teaches us about how to set up the Handy recorder on garageband. It's incredibly useful and shows us each step from the settings on the handy recorder to the settings on garage-band.
