LO2 content analysis (Let it go by palyboi carti)

 

The song "Let It Go" by Playboi Carti sounds very similar to mine due to the beat and similar tempo of 140 BPM. The beat features metallic synths and bells that have been reversed to create an interesting vibe that allows this to be one of the most iconic beats from the artists self titled album. As for the drum patterns, they are very similar to mine as they use simple 808 and kick patterns with a snare and a clap and some Vox's. However while the producer for this song created a simple 2 step hi-hat pattern, I normally create complicated ones that consist of rolls and glitches to create a pause effect in the beat. As for lyrical content, Playboi uses simple rhyme schemes like me but uses very simple flows that are often slow, a contrast to the fast nature of the hook from my song. The actual lyrical content is nothing to be shocked about as it is stereotypical lines that reference money, women and the rich lifestyle. The genre of both songs is Hip-Hop, Trap Hip-Hop to be certain because of the 2 step Hi-Hat pattern and loud 808s used in the song. This song was one of the first songs that we would see from Playboi and the producer Pierre, as they are presented as one of the best duos in the industry and this song was one of the earliest showcases of their potential. With the purpose of this track showing if the artist and producer can create a song with a specific vibe to make it timeless.
