Lo1 Black Jesus by lil yachty (prod by jeston) analysis
Jeston and the production Jestons production is very basey and loud. In the song he uses an guitar and a synth but never overlaps them, they both play at different times creating a contrast between to two and allowing a nice transition from verse to hook. Lil yachty and his character Lil yachty originally became due to his catchy melodic flows with goofy lyrics and cadence, with colourful dreads and a fun attitude. However in this song he abandons all of this and instead attempts a much more serious and viscous song. As someone who likes his music I would like to both do melodic trap while also doing much more serious music that would focus on mental health or other serious topics. Yachty’s lyrics aren’t really anything special he uses mainstream bars that focus on jewellery and money while occasionally having a funny lyric here and there whether it be a reference or just a diss.
